Finally and sibling love~

Finally....
After diligently sewing for two nights in a row I pieced my first patchwork skirt together. I was so proud of myself. Then I lost the instructions to sew all of the rows together. Thank goodness for the Internet. I found a tutorial. Thinking that I could do it a faster way, I broke my gather string three times. Then unpicking, and more unpicking I finally gave up and put IT away for a couple of weeks. It was staring at me saying "you are so close finish me!" So I started again....finally finishing the hem stitch. Sophie was so excited for her skirt. It was cute...but I thought it need one more row. One problem no more material, off to the fabric store. Another row how hard could that be. I thought ohh I could just add a couple more squares to make the next row. Wrong...I needed much more. More unpicking, and again another hem stitch. Yes! It's done! Then I was at Wal-mart and found perfect lace that would be so cute on the bottom of that skirt. Came home, I didn't buy enough! Back to Wal-mart, for more lace. Ugh this skirt is killing me! Finally it's done after 3 weeks it's done. I wish so bad that I could sew like my mom!
I guess all that matters is that Sophie loves it and she says that it's "a good spinner".....

Sibling Love....
This is how I found these two watching T.V. the other night...I hope this lasts until they are 12 and 14....:)

My Kids~

I love them so much!!! I'm so honored to be their mom. They remind me everyday how luck that I am. They teach me things that I know My Heavenly Father has a hand in. My sweet son, I can't imagine my life without his sweet spirit. He reminds us every night to say prayer even if he is half asleep he will still want to say family prayer. I had a wonderful opportunity the other night on the way home from Orem. Dylan said mom I know I have a spirit but what is it really? I tried to explain the best that I could. We talked and talked and I fought back tears the entire ride home. The Spirit was so strong. I told my kids that we are here on earth to learn and grow and to live the best that we can to return to live with our Heavenly Father. My sweet Sophie said are you going to be in Heaven Mama? I told her that I will be there and she has to stay close to Heavenly Father and talk to him always and without any hesitation she said, ok mama, I will.
What a wonderful experience that car ride home was. I felt like they were understanding everything that I said to them. I hope to have many more of these special, sacred, conversations with my kids. What a joyful wonderful life that I have....

Halloween~

Halloween was fun as usual the kids get so excited. But just like last year I wasn't feeling well. I don't know what it is about this time of year my body decides to shut down. It knocked me down especially hard this year. I have wonderful people that I can call on and lots of love from family. My sweet friend Crista came and brought me food and she helped me so much. My mom and sweet sister just felt guilty that they lived far away but their phone calls and love helped me so much. My sister sent my sweet, fun, nieces down to help me on Friday and we had a great day. They helped the kids carve pumpkins, played games, put on a concert for us, they were awesome. I love them so much! My husband is another strength in my life. I don't know how I got so lucky! He is so understanding and no matter how many times I complain or cry he is always right there so sensitive and loving. He's the best! Enough about me, the kids were troopers this Halloween I think the nice weather helped they went Trick-or-treating for two hours. They were so funny when they got home. So excited to eat some candy and to just see what they got. Sophie was a cute purple witch and Dylan was a Park Ranger. Now starts the begging of candy all day and many threats of teeth falling out!
