President Monson Announces New Temple in Payson, Utah
SALT LAKE CITY 25 January 2010 A new temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is to be built in Payson, Utah, it was announced today by Church President Thomas S. Monson.

The new temple will help meet the needs of a growing Church membership in the area and will ease the heavy use of the Provo temple, which is one of the busiest in the Church. The Payson temple will bring to 15 the number of operating and announced temples in Utah.

It is less than 10 minutes from our house! I cried! We are so blessed!

OK, where has January gone?~

Where do I start?
We had a wonderful time in Arizona for Christmas. I remember the first time we spent Christmas in Arizona I had a hard time with it not looking like Christmas to me. I needed snow. Well not anymore! The last two times we have been to Arizona I have thoroughly enjoyed myself. The warm weather is such a great change from the frigid weather here that who needs snow on Christmas. Not me!~
We had a trip inside our trip this year, Grandpa took us on another adventure. The sand dunes! We were right on the border between California and Mexico. We rode the ATV's right by the huge steel border fence. We had a blast riding the hills and mountains of sand. I was so proud of my Dylan, he went out with us on the sand for a long ride. I told him just to follow grandpa and he did awesome up and down the hills it was great.
We are back in the routine quite well now. It's always hard to get back in the swing of things after a nice vacation. We went to SEP's last week for Dylan and of course he is above normal with his reading and his teacher just loves him. She wrote me the nicest note that said she wished that she could have a classroom full of Dylan's. She said that her job would be so easy if that were true. He is such a hard worker and we are so proud of him. Sophie is doing great too. She is so proud of herself when she talks to her teacher. We stop on the way home from preschool and get her a treat if she talks to her teacher or answers a question. She told me that when she talks she just wants to talk more and more. She's coming along! She is obsessed with us getting a dog. We are not getting one anytime soon but she always says when we have our dog I'm going to do this or that, it is so cute. Yesterday she told me that we need a truck and I said we do? Yes! We need it so that we can take our dog for a ride! She is such an animal lover....
I have a new calling at church that is keeping me very busy but I am enjoying it. Jesse and I are trying to get healthy, we signed up for Santaquin's biggest looser and it has been fun. Jesse is a mad man now about healthy food and I knew if I got him to do it with me I would stick to it. He is such a self motivator that he is determined to win it all! I hope he does!!

Where has December gone?~

I can't believe that it is December 19th! I knew that it would fly by that means that there is only five day left! YAH! I had my Santa shopping done early but then I decided to make things....What was I thinking? Two more patchwork skirts, four capes for my daycare kids, bean heaters, and a table runner that went terribly wrong. Ohh, and throw in a birthday party and a ward party. But I love this time of year. I love to give and I love to watch the kids. They are really into the magic of Santa and most important the birth of the Savior. I showed Dylan that the word Christ was in the word Christmas and He was the most important this time of year. He thought that was pretty cool. We had a fun ward party but it was a lot of work. I had to decorate all of the tables and we cooked all of the food for the ward. We had a breakfast and I really would be ok of I didn't crack another egg and flip another pancake for a long time.

Yesterday my baby boy turned 7 yes, that's right 7!

I am so grateful for this big boy!
I am a better person because I have him in my life. He is so rightous, sometimes I fell that I don't deserve to be his mom.
He is so sweet~
He will hug Jesse and I so tight that our face turns red from lack of oxygen.
He will get anything for me. Especially when I don't want to go down the stairs. He loves his sister so much. He wants to be by her always. He will get her MeMe before she even asks him to. He is such a good brother.

He is very rightous~
He always remembers family prayer. Not one night goes by without him wanting to say a prayer. His prayers and very thoughtful and he blesses everyone. He pays more tithing than he needs to. The last time we figured he needed to pay $0.50 and he said Mom can I pay $1.00 instead. He reminds me when it is fast Sunday. (while I am stuffing my mouth with Cherrios!) I feel that I need to feed his spirit much more that I am. Note to self for this new year feed Dylan spiritually.
He is very smart~
He can build anything. All he needs is tape and some cardboard. He has built a T.V. that has actually projected an image that he drew onto the wall, an overhead projector, a magnet board, calendars, books, photo books, copy machines, and I could go on and on. He also has three businesses that he operates. He is something special. My Dad has threaten me that he is going to introduce him to duck tape and I said No. I will have duck tape on everything!!
He is not a normal seven year old!
All he wanted for his birthday was a white board. He got so excited when he opened it that he screamed and ran around. All for a white board! He told Jesse and I that he loved us so much about 20 times. He also told Santa that he wanted a 9-bin organizer. Santa just looked at me and I smiled and he said, Ok? It was so funny!

I love him so much he is so special. I know that our Heavenly Father sent his sweet spirit to Jesse and I for a reason. To get us on track, he sent this sweet boy to teach us about being an Eternal family. What a priceless gift he is to us.
Love you pickle wickle! (Even though right now you are doing your fake cry because you are going to die at any minute if you don't have pancakes right NOW!!)

Finally and sibling love~

Finally....
After diligently sewing for two nights in a row I pieced my first patchwork skirt together. I was so proud of myself. Then I lost the instructions to sew all of the rows together. Thank goodness for the Internet. I found a tutorial. Thinking that I could do it a faster way, I broke my gather string three times. Then unpicking, and more unpicking I finally gave up and put IT away for a couple of weeks. It was staring at me saying "you are so close finish me!" So I started again....finally finishing the hem stitch. Sophie was so excited for her skirt. It was cute...but I thought it need one more row. One problem no more material, off to the fabric store. Another row how hard could that be. I thought ohh I could just add a couple more squares to make the next row. Wrong...I needed much more. More unpicking, and again another hem stitch. Yes! It's done! Then I was at Wal-mart and found perfect lace that would be so cute on the bottom of that skirt. Came home, I didn't buy enough! Back to Wal-mart, for more lace. Ugh this skirt is killing me! Finally it's done after 3 weeks it's done. I wish so bad that I could sew like my mom!
I guess all that matters is that Sophie loves it and she says that it's "a good spinner".....

Sibling Love....
This is how I found these two watching T.V. the other night...I hope this lasts until they are 12 and 14....:)

My Kids~

I love them so much!!! I'm so honored to be their mom. They remind me everyday how luck that I am. They teach me things that I know My Heavenly Father has a hand in. My sweet son, I can't imagine my life without his sweet spirit. He reminds us every night to say prayer even if he is half asleep he will still want to say family prayer. I had a wonderful opportunity the other night on the way home from Orem. Dylan said mom I know I have a spirit but what is it really? I tried to explain the best that I could. We talked and talked and I fought back tears the entire ride home. The Spirit was so strong. I told my kids that we are here on earth to learn and grow and to live the best that we can to return to live with our Heavenly Father. My sweet Sophie said are you going to be in Heaven Mama? I told her that I will be there and she has to stay close to Heavenly Father and talk to him always and without any hesitation she said, ok mama, I will.
What a wonderful experience that car ride home was. I felt like they were understanding everything that I said to them. I hope to have many more of these special, sacred, conversations with my kids. What a joyful wonderful life that I have....

Halloween~

Halloween was fun as usual the kids get so excited. But just like last year I wasn't feeling well. I don't know what it is about this time of year my body decides to shut down. It knocked me down especially hard this year. I have wonderful people that I can call on and lots of love from family. My sweet friend Crista came and brought me food and she helped me so much. My mom and sweet sister just felt guilty that they lived far away but their phone calls and love helped me so much. My sister sent my sweet, fun, nieces down to help me on Friday and we had a great day. They helped the kids carve pumpkins, played games, put on a concert for us, they were awesome. I love them so much! My husband is another strength in my life. I don't know how I got so lucky! He is so understanding and no matter how many times I complain or cry he is always right there so sensitive and loving. He's the best! Enough about me, the kids were troopers this Halloween I think the nice weather helped they went Trick-or-treating for two hours. They were so funny when they got home. So excited to eat some candy and to just see what they got. Sophie was a cute purple witch and Dylan was a Park Ranger. Now starts the begging of candy all day and many threats of teeth falling out!
