Guess who turned 4 on April 4th?

My sweet Sophia!!
She has been counting down the days until she turned four. She woke up and she told me that she thinks that she got taller last night because she was turning four. I love her so much. I can't believe that my baby girl is four. ~sigh~

Dear Sophia,

I just wanted to tell you how much I love you and how much I love being your mom. I remember when I found out that I was going to have a little girl, I was so excited. I couldn't wait to dress you up, put bows in your hair, play dolls with you, and most important be the best mom in the world to you. You are so special, you are kind, sweet, loving, cuddly, snugly, happy little girl. When we get the rare chance to be alone just you and I, I love how you say that we are best friends and you want to play with me. I also love when we are in a public bathroom and that is the time when you feel the need to have deep conversations with me. Things that have happened in the past that you still remember and want to discuss them with me on the potty. How you say that girls just root and toot and boys are stink bombers. You are so special to me and I can't imagine my life with out you. LOVE YOU....sissy sue, sister sledge, sopher, sis, princess, sledgey, rooter tooter girl.....

Side note: This is a picture of her cake that she ate. Notice not one bite of frosting is left on her piece of cake.:) This is why I love her!

The Question~

Ok,
We have had "the question" come up a couple of times in the past, but we have always gotten out of it.... Dylan asked me how long was it before Grandma in Arizona saw him after he was born, I told him a couple of weeks, then we talked about the rest of the family and how long it was for each of them and so on....and then Sophie says how do the babies get out of your tummy? Dylan chimed in and said you just push them out through your belly. Sophie then says out your belly button? I told her No, and then she said well then where mama????? Um, I am more than willing to go there when the time is right but for now I don't want to go there.....So I said Daddy, do you want to take this one? Or course he refused...So as I was articulating my thoughts on the perfect thing to say without giving too much information, Sophie says I'm done with dinner mama, love you, and got down from her chair and ran off.....yew!!!!! Until next time!!

Sophie and the number 4~

Sophie is obsessed with turning four. Everyday, even several times a day I get the question, "Mama, am I four yet?" and everytime I tell her, "not yet!" I used to tell her that she will turn four in the Spring. But with all of this warm weather we have been having she thinks it's Spring already. I have to tell her that it's not quite Spring yet and she is still three. She asked me the other day why is Dylan older than her, and I tried to explain to her that Dylan was born first and so he will always be her big brother. Well she wasn't to happy about that, she wants to be older. What am I going to do with my baby? I want her little....~sigh~ I guess that I should be happy that she doesn't say that she wants to be 16 anymore, that was a tough one....
