Be my Valentine~

I ask, is kindergarten too young to be receiving a "real" Valentine card?
Dylan came home with this card today and I about died.
Mom: Who is this from?
Dylan: Alyssa.
Mom: Did she give everyone a card?
Dylan: Nope just me.
Mom: WOW! She must think you are so nice.
Dylan: Ya, she does.
Mom: Good boy, always be nice to girls.
Dylan: No problem, I will....~smile~

S-C-A-R-Y!

Do you know when you wake up from dreaming and you are sitting there thinking, WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT? That's what happened to me last night. I have always been a dreamer mostly bad dreams but some are just crazy. Ok, here is goes. I had a dream that Gary Coleman was throwing silver confetti on my lawn and yelling "here you go, do you like that!" (please us the classic Gary Coleman voice as you say that and throughout this post!) I was outside on my porch and I was asking him "what are you doing?" and he just kept yelling "here you go, do you like that!" I sad, "NO. I don't" and then I got scared so I ran in the house and called the police and they said go tell him if he wants to go to jail then keep it up. So I yelled that to him he said, "ohh ya, then take this" and he backed up his big black truck and dumped a huge load of more silver confetti on my lawn. The yelling continued and I said "fine, I am calling the police again." and then I woke up. Now in dream land this lasted I swear like 4 hours. I was so scared of Mr. Coleman. What the heck was that???
Side note: G. Coleman lives in Santaquin, I see him occasionally. He does have a really big black truck and he is the only African American person in about a 15 mile radius. So he does not just blend in with the locals. Am I being rude now? Sorry! So maybe that is where Mr. Coleman comes into my dream....???

Lynnie~

I have to give out some love to my sis....
She is such a great example to me and being six years older than me I really can look up to her. She is a great mom who is raising 4 amazing, beautiful girls. She is always ready to kick the soccer ball around, get down on the floor and wrestle, make any craft with her crazy crafting skills, she'll paint a room in one hour and have everything put back together in two, she lives out of her car, which means she drives to countless soccer games, practices, basketball games, practices, dance, school activities, birthday parties, work, and anywhere else you ask her to go. She looks after my grammie who is 86 years old. She gets her groceries, takes her to Dr. appointments, shopping, and anything else that she needs her to do. She has had a very sick daughter this week, (hugs to Shay) taken my grammie shopping, worked, ran Kenadie everywhere, taken care of all her mom duties, and also taken care of ME....
I called her yesterday (I am ill, with no voice, a barking cough and ready for the iron lung) to see if she would ask her PA some questions about my illness. She was getting my symptoms, what the Dr. had told me, what meds I was on, and so on. She said that she would call me right back with some answers, and that she did. She knew when I called that her PA was gone, and her Dr. was gone too, but she never hesitated one bit. I later found out that her ran to another building to find a Dr. that could answer my questions. She gave me answers, advice and offered to drive one hour to come and get my kids to stay with her. What a wonderful sis I have. She has so much on her plate and STILL she serves. Endlessly. She has called me three times since just to make sure that I am ok...I am so lucky to have a sister like her. I could call her at any second of the day and she would be there. I love her so much! Hugs and kisses to Lynnie...my sis......

Two things~

First.....

It's amazing what some Mod Podge, paper, drapes, ribbon, and dish towels can do for a room.
I did a mini makeover in Sophie's room this weekend. I really want to paint it but if you know me I really have to be in the mood to paint. After the my sweet old house and how many times I painted in there, I think that I am still a little burned out. Or I get a bug up my hiney and go to the store and get paint and re-do a room in one evening. (like I did with Dylan's). So I spruced it up a little and I think it looks cute. Sophie loves it, so that's all that matters.

Second..............

Can you guess what my son is learning about in Kindergarten?
Penguins! The first picture is of Dylan (the daddy penguin) with his egg resting on his feet. To protect it from the ice.
He put a ball inside his sock and came waddling out into the living room to show Jesse and I and we thought he was too funny. He always has really creative ideas. I love it!

Mommy Moment~

I had a mommy moment last night. These are the moments when your heart feels like a water balloon that's going to explode. I was putting the kids to bed and Dylan and Sophie were loving each other like no other. They were kissing and hugging and Dylan was rubbing Sophie's face it was too cute. We decided to read a story and they climbed into Sophie's bed and they started cuddling there too. I told them that I hope that they would always love each other as much as they were lovin tonight. They exchanged even more I love yous and more loves. We read our book and it was time for prayer. Daddy asked if anyone would like to say it and Dylan said that he had already said it. (He went to dinner and his best buddies house.) I said you did! (very surprised) He said yes I blessed his family and the food. I know that's probably not a big deal, but to me I was so proud of him for not being afraid to talk to his Heavenly Father at our neighbors home. After prayer, my heart was so full. I felt that there wasn't one place in this world that I would rather be. My place was right there. I love those! Mommy moments are the experiences that keep you going in life. I love my kids!

Words from a Princess~

Sophie said to me today, "Mamma it is glittering outside!" "Look how beautiful!"
The sun was shining on the snow and making the snow "glitter!"
More words from the princess:
I had a light load of kids today and so I really wanted to go to Robert's Craft Store. (it's a long drive, but it's my guilty pleasure) So after I dropped Dylan off at school I took the kids to Robert's. Inside I went down the paper isle and Sophie is saying "Ohh look at that beautiful pink paper!" "Look at that one!" "Mamma that is so, so, so, so, pretty!" She was going crazy, it was almost the same reaction when we go down the shoe isle.
I love how she loves the small beautiful things in life. She's the best!

GO UTES!

OHH YEAH!!
How sweet it is! Well JW is hoarse and sore from yelling and pumping his fists. He has this condition of yelling at the top of his lungs when anything goes right or wrong. If you know JW you are laughing reading that last sentence because you all know that he is not a talker, and is usually very shy. But something happens when he watches the Utes and he blossoms into a screaming, yelling, jumping up and down, pumping his fists man. Every time Dylan would hear his dad yelling he would come running and they would do this ritual hand slapping and then a hug. It became a little game for Dill and JW was loving it. A kind of Father Son bonding moment.
We have had a great time watching the UTES this season and what fun family memories that we have.
