Thoughts~

My great friend Emily lost her Mom this past week. Rita has been battling with MS for 20 years. I think everyone has been amazed at her fight. Emily lost her Dad just one ago to Lung Cancer and now her Mom to MS. It has made me think about others and their struggles that they endure. We all have our struggles, but I think that we need to be mindful of others and the battle that they fight, some each day others in different periods of their lives. We need to remember to pray for others no matter their faith and help them if we can.
“What though the skies seem dark today, Tomorrow’s will be blue; When every cloud has cleared away God’s providence shines through.”

Gone~

Look what Dylan lost last night......

I know, I know he is going to lose like 8 more but the 1st one is a milestone, isn't it. I thought that he would be the type to leave it in until it is hanging by a thread. But, this is how it went....
D- I want to get it out mom.
M- Ok, let's do it!
D- Ohh, look at it, it's so loose!
M- Here is a piece of TP try and pull it out.
D- I almost got it, I'll try again.....
~Seven more times later to pull it out~
D- I can't get it!!
M- Can I try?
D- Yes, but don't twist it.
D- Uhhhhhh...
D- Ohh, I don't think you can do it either, wait.....YOU GOT IT OUT!
M- Ha, you didn't even know I did it!!!!
D- Thanks mom~
Ohh, my big boy with a tooth missing!!

The next photo you all have to take an oath of silence before you look at it...I'll wait...This is JW doing his "interpretation" of the Tooth Fairy!

(He doesn't read our blog, sad, so I know he won't see that I posted this picture!)

Weekend Getaway~

We decided to runaway this past weekend to St. George. We have drove through it many times but this time we decide to stay. I told the kids we were going to St. George and all they said was "Are we going to stay in a hotel?" Our kids love to stay in hotels. They get to jump on the beds, take long baths and most important SWIM. They don't care where we are as long as we stay in a hotel. I remember as a child that those are some of my best memories, staying in hotels. Jesse and I also thought that while we were so close to Zion National Park that we should take a day trip there. So we headed to Zion on Sunday and the bus ride through the park was not very fun. (according to the kids) So needless to say we got ask about 20 times when we were going back to the hotel. We didn't stay long...We also got to play miniature golf and ride go-carts. But if you asked the kids what the best thing was it would be swimming. We had a great time and it is fun to just hang out with each other. Dylan kept saying are we going out to eat again! He couldn't believe it! Life is good~

Side note: I took lovely pictures of Zion and various other lovely pictures, but I was so brilliant and forgot to put the memory card back into the camera. Ugh!

Na, Na, Na, Na, Na, Na (the graduation song)

It's that time of the year.
My baby boy graduated from Kindergarten!

He loved school and his sweet teacher Ms Esquerra. Everytime we went to parent teacher confrence she would just shake her head and say, "He is such a special boy" Of course we know this already. I am so proud of him, he is such a good reader and great at math. He never missed a day of school that's how much he loved it. We are so proud of you Dylan. I might cry even harder when he goes to 1st grade, I'm going to miss him so much.

Ms. Sophia also graduated!

She loves school too! She is so shy, she finally started talking to her teachers about a month ago. At her graduation she never opened her mouth. They sang six songs and she never made a peep. She did smile the entire time though. She is so smart and loves to make the sounds of each letter. We are so proud of her too, and hopefully she will come out of her shell at school soon. She talks my ear off at home!!
We love you Sophie!!

A few things!

A few things that I heard this week~

- If I had a choice between you and another mom I would chose you! (Dylan)
- Why do the kids (daycare kids) call you Tiff? Your name is Mom!(Sophie)
- One second for you (me) is like 100 hours! (Dylan)
- Ohh, my rolly polly just broke in half! (Sophie)
- You should cook on TV and dad could hold the camera. (Dylan)
- I'm not a stink bomber, I just like to toot outside! (Sophie)
- Why do I have to use soap in the shower? (Dylan)

TGIF~

A few things that happened today before 11:00 am.
- three kids have peed their pants.
- one pooped
- three band aids have been applied
- the TV has been pulled over and on to the ground. (thank goodness it was the 13in.)
- two kids crashed into each other
- two kids spilled their really sticky juice on the floor
- a bowl of fruit loops spilled on the floor
- I burnt my toast
- the toilet over flowed and I mean over flowed!
- my dishwasher door is stuck (maybe from the juice?)
Just when I'm ready to throw in the towel I received this...
(via Dylan mail)

...and everything melted away and I knew that I was doing something right today. (at least Dylan made me think so.) Thank goodness for Dylan mail! :)

Babysitters side note: No children were harmed or hurt in this post! ~whew~

10 things that Dylan gets REALLY excited about~

1) Paper (he loves it)
2) Envelopes (he cuts them in half so he can have two)
3) Tape (his Grandpa & Grannie Joan keep him supplied)
4) Clip boards (every six year old needs a clip board right?)
5) Pamphlets (any kind, his eyes light up like he is in a candy store)
6) Business cards (I am constantly saying, "It's just for my son.")
7) PVC pipe (he has spent his own money to buy it)
8) Staples and Staplers (can you imagine when I vacuum his room)
9) Home Depot How To books (ie: Decks, flooring, roofing, ect.)
10)Flowers (he took 30 minutes to pick out the right ones.)

He cracks me up. He is defiantly one of a kind. I heart Dylan!
