Summer Sunsets~

Jesse and I were sitting on the back porch and the sunset was amazing. He would say this is so pretty. Then a couple of minutes later I would say that is so beautiful. Finally I said I need to get the camera! The camera didn't do it justice...but here it is!

Life~

I feel like I have been so busy that I don't even have time to blog anymore. My days this summer are crazy! My babysitting is keeping me very busy. I have kids all day long, I mean I have always had kids all day long but the big kids are home now. The big kids are easier than the little ones but as all of you know they fight more. I feel like I should put on a stripped referee shirt everyday. I have to stop and count to ten about 20 times a day. Busy is good though! Regarding my last post this is a photo of Dylan's snack...He wanted some banana's and this is what he came up with.

Maybe the kids are addicted too;)

Camping~

We were lucky to spend JW's birthday and Father's Day with Grannie Joan and Grandpa camping up by Tremonton. We had a great time even though it rained and rained. We were lucky enough to stay at a great campground that had a warm springs pool. So swimming in the cool rain was the greatest. JW and I were "tenting it" there is really something about sleeping in a tent in the cool night air. I love it! (except when it is pouring rain!)

This campground also had a nine hole golf course. Which was very fun and cheap! JW and I used to golf often but we haven't done it in a while. The scenery was beautiful. We had a great time, he taught me how to golf when we first met and I think that any man that will do that it pretty special. (patient man!)

Usually golf courses have a little bit of a different scenery than wheat fields, I loved it! I thought it was so relaxing seeing the wheat waving back and forth. I don't think it helped my game any but it was beautiful.

Whew! I think that's that! Happy Summer!

Addiction~

My sweet loving husband announced to me last evening that I have an addiction......
"Addiction!" I say,,,"to what?" I don't drink Diet Coke. (that one runs in the family) I don't have an addiction to shoes, clothes, jewelry, or books. I might have a slight addiction to ribbon, and paper, but nothing that my sweet husband would be so concerned about. So after wondering what this might be he said, "The Food Network"
"THE FOOD NETWORK" I said. "WHAT" After a small discussion about me and channel 231 I agreed. I do have an addiction to Food Net. (as us junkies call it) I really do not watch much TV. But now that I think about it anytime that I do watch TV it is on the Food Net. Ohh, and especially on Saturday mornings! I told JW that he should be grateful that I watch such educational things. I really have become a better cook and learned tons of stuff by watching it. I told him that I am addicted to food and the Food Net. is my drug of choice. So there it is out in the open. I'm an addict.

Thoughts~

My great friend Emily lost her Mom this past week. Rita has been battling with MS for 20 years. I think everyone has been amazed at her fight. Emily lost her Dad just one ago to Lung Cancer and now her Mom to MS. It has made me think about others and their struggles that they endure. We all have our struggles, but I think that we need to be mindful of others and the battle that they fight, some each day others in different periods of their lives. We need to remember to pray for others no matter their faith and help them if we can.
“What though the skies seem dark today, Tomorrow’s will be blue; When every cloud has cleared away God’s providence shines through.”

Gone~

Look what Dylan lost last night......

I know, I know he is going to lose like 8 more but the 1st one is a milestone, isn't it. I thought that he would be the type to leave it in until it is hanging by a thread. But, this is how it went....
D- I want to get it out mom.
M- Ok, let's do it!
D- Ohh, look at it, it's so loose!
M- Here is a piece of TP try and pull it out.
D- I almost got it, I'll try again.....
~Seven more times later to pull it out~
D- I can't get it!!
M- Can I try?
D- Yes, but don't twist it.
D- Uhhhhhh...
D- Ohh, I don't think you can do it either, wait.....YOU GOT IT OUT!
M- Ha, you didn't even know I did it!!!!
D- Thanks mom~
Ohh, my big boy with a tooth missing!!

The next photo you all have to take an oath of silence before you look at it...I'll wait...This is JW doing his "interpretation" of the Tooth Fairy!

(He doesn't read our blog, sad, so I know he won't see that I posted this picture!)

Weekend Getaway~

We decided to runaway this past weekend to St. George. We have drove through it many times but this time we decide to stay. I told the kids we were going to St. George and all they said was "Are we going to stay in a hotel?" Our kids love to stay in hotels. They get to jump on the beds, take long baths and most important SWIM. They don't care where we are as long as we stay in a hotel. I remember as a child that those are some of my best memories, staying in hotels. Jesse and I also thought that while we were so close to Zion National Park that we should take a day trip there. So we headed to Zion on Sunday and the bus ride through the park was not very fun. (according to the kids) So needless to say we got ask about 20 times when we were going back to the hotel. We didn't stay long...We also got to play miniature golf and ride go-carts. But if you asked the kids what the best thing was it would be swimming. We had a great time and it is fun to just hang out with each other. Dylan kept saying are we going out to eat again! He couldn't believe it! Life is good~

Side note: I took lovely pictures of Zion and various other lovely pictures, but I was so brilliant and forgot to put the memory card back into the camera. Ugh!

Na, Na, Na, Na, Na, Na (the graduation song)

It's that time of the year.
My baby boy graduated from Kindergarten!

He loved school and his sweet teacher Ms Esquerra. Everytime we went to parent teacher confrence she would just shake her head and say, "He is such a special boy" Of course we know this already. I am so proud of him, he is such a good reader and great at math. He never missed a day of school that's how much he loved it. We are so proud of you Dylan. I might cry even harder when he goes to 1st grade, I'm going to miss him so much.

Ms. Sophia also graduated!

She loves school too! She is so shy, she finally started talking to her teachers about a month ago. At her graduation she never opened her mouth. They sang six songs and she never made a peep. She did smile the entire time though. She is so smart and loves to make the sounds of each letter. We are so proud of her too, and hopefully she will come out of her shell at school soon. She talks my ear off at home!!
We love you Sophie!!
